Toxic Torts

Toxic torts law holds manufacturers, distributors, retailers, employers and landowners responsible as a result of unreasonable exposure to chemicals, carcinogens and other agents which cause serious illness. Examples include asbestos, mold, lead paint, dry cleaning agents and solvents. Also included in this category are dangerous pharmaceutical drugs such as Vioxx, DES, Rezulin, Propulsid and Phen-Fen.

Those individuals who have a serious condition which was medically caused by their exposure to or ingestion of a harmful agent can recover compensatory damages.

Dankner & Milstein has been involved in virtually every major mass toxic tort litigation recently brought against pharmaceutical and drug companies.

We are currently involved in numerous lawsuits against Merck & Co. representing victims of cardiovascular injuries, such as heart attacks and strokes, which were caused by the pain-relieving drug Vioxx. D&M has been retained by many injured persons and families of those who have died as a result of using Vioxx for a prolonged period. We welcome direct calls from potential clients or referrals from counsel in this major mass tort litigation.

If you feel that you have been injured by any drug or exposed to or inadequately protected from contact with chemicals or other toxic substances and diagnosed with a related illness or condition, please contact us for a consultation.
